USEFUL INFOS FOR FOREIGN STUDENTS

SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER

• Needed to sign any kind of contract, to be requested at:
  Ufficio Imposte Dirette (Via Manin 27 or Via Moscova 2)
• Documents needed:

1. University letter or acceptance
2. I.D. Card (or Passport for non E.U.)
3. Residence permit (for non E.U. ppl)

Residence permit for students from non E.U. countries

• Obtainable at QUESTURA, in:
  Via Fatebenefratelli 11
  Via Montebello 26
• You need to have with you:
  N°4 passports photos
  Marca da bollo (stamp) for Euro 10.33 (you can buy it in a Tabacchi Shop, or post office)
  Letter of acceptance for uni
  Medical insurance

HEALT CARE SERVICES

• At A.S.L. offices you can be assigned to a doctor within the public health care system. Find the nearest office on:

• Pharmacy open 24/7 at stazione centrale
• To find out which pharmacies are open at night or on public holidays, call 800.80.11.85

RAYLWAYS

• On www.ferroviedellostato.it you can find a journey planner, buy tickets and get info.
• Most trains leave from STAZIONE CENTRALE, but there are other stations as well: Cadorna, Garibaldi, Lambrate and Rogoredo.
• For F.S. Trains (Eurostar) booking is mandatory. These trains are more expensive as well (IC. Intercity). For low-cost travelling look out fo R or IR, regional trains.
